    allegation: Antonie has applied for faculty to build pew in middle aisle; intimation was read in church, requiring attendance of those concerned 13 April; which they did; but Antonie's proctor required objections in writing; it would involve pulling down following seats:- 1st: to north east: house inhabited William Pappiat; 2nd: Thomas Ekins; 3rd: Joseph Cox; 4-6th: John Bullock esquire, tenants & servants; 1st to NorthWest: Ephraim Savage; 2nd-6th: Thomas Abraham, Joseph Walton, William Bricket, N. Norman, Willam Bays; likewise a row of seats for young people; Antonie has also a pew 6'4" x 5'2" which he keeps constantly locked up for his own use; said: James Catesby 68, Edward Swannell 72, James Ward 65, Mary Wheatly 78, Elizabeth Bricket (mother) 77, Thomas Hayes 79, Willam Bays 76, John Hipwell 85. endorsed with note of oaths of signatories 16 May 1768 Witness John Gibberd, surrogate; and two of them a second time, witness Edward Towersey, surrogate 18 May Official copy of above; Exceptive allegation of plaintiff: James Catesby & others have not appeared or sent proxy; vicar & churchwardens have not objected; seat belongs to Antonie's farm in Little Colworth in occupation of Theophilus Woodward & Antonie (who has capital mansionhouse & several messuage & farms in Great Colworth), who has no convenient place for self & servants according to his degree & station.
