    Attested copy Release by way of Marriage Settlement Parties: (i) John Costin of Bedford, merchant; (ii) Ann Cooper of Saint Ives [Huntingdonshire], spinster; (iii) Thomas Smith of Bedford, minister of the Gospel on the congregation dissenting from the Church of England; Jeremy Fish Palmer of Bedford, gentleman Reciting: - intended marriage between (i) and (ii) Operative Part: - (iii) paid 10/- to (i); - (i) released (a) to (iii) in trust to provide a jointure for (ii) and to bar dower Property: (a) messuage in a yard in the High Street in Bedford, Saint Paul, in the occupation of John Palmer, maltster, alderman of Bedford at an annual rent of twelve guineas Habendum: - to (iii) to the use of (i) until the marriage, remainder to (i) for his life, remainder to (ii) for her life as a jointure in satisfaction of all dower and thirds she might otherwise have had on the estate of (i), remainder to the use of the heirs of (i) for ever Witnesses: - Thomas Furnivall; - Thomas Kidman; - Thomas Hutchinson; - Thomas Whitfield Examined as a true copy by Theed Pearse and Susanna Pearse 4 April 1791
