Deposition of John Howard, Bedford St. Paul, 35, labourer: the day after last Ickwell fair, he was at the Star, Potton (kept by Rogers) with William Peacock of Silsoe, John Ellson & Robert Bland; Ellson said to Bland 'Your wife is a whore'; Peacock said 'It is a shame to abuse the woman when she is not here.' He thinks Ellson was drunk. (Parish?)
