- Scope and ContentThere is a claim by Franklin Harbett for a bill delivered to Hunt, for £60, which Hunt says he sent to Mr. Lamb. Franklin Harbett has no copy of it. He is entitled to some allowance for keeping possession under the order of Mr. Richards, from June 1847 to July 1850. After this date he has had a little benefit from the property, but none before. Suggests taking £50 off as compensation for lost bill and keeping possession. In next place looking to agreement and memorandum has had great deal of trouble with Franklin Harbett and family and in settling affairs so thinks £30 ought to be paid out the general fund, before a division. Discusses Harriett Hillyard Attlee’s share. Wonders whether her share did not revert to the original settlor and is now vested in Franklin Harbett. Suggests taking Counsel’s opinion. Perhaps Franklin Harbett might come to an agreement with Campion and make the title complete. 9 July 1852. [found inside]. Letter from R. Lambert, 32, Market Street, Newcastle upon Tyne, to ‘dear Sir’. Returns release with a qualifying clause. Subject to which he approves of draft on behalf of brother. Does not see how net sums stated arise. With regard to Mr. Green’s claim for £50 – will leave that to him to arrange. If Mr. Green urges that the charges of each individual solicitor be paid, then he [correspondent] might claim for his charges perusing the deeds. 4 August 1852
