-- case concerns a statute staple of £3000 acknowledged by Thomas Southwell to Thomas Wilmer gentleman in 1582/3 now lately assigned to the Crown for payment of debts of Thomas Phillippes, late collector of the petty customs in the port of London.
It is ordered that all proceedings are to be stayed in this court while William Payne is exhibiting his English Bill in the Exchequer versus Thomas Wilmer to determine whether it is a true debt. No further proceeding on the extent; Payne to keep possession until further order.
