Scope and Content
Reciting arbitration bonds in £500 dated 10 December 1814 between
(a) Richard Harbett, William Harbett, Moses Eagles and wife, Susannah (late Susannah Peters) surviving executors and executrix of Richard Harbett, senior, Westoning, yeoman, deceased
(b) Ann Stanbridge, Westoning, widow
by which both parties agreed to keep the arbitration award of John Grant of Leighton Buzzard, merchant, and Richard Hitchin Whitehurst, Westoning, clerk, arbitrators to decide disputes over the will of Richard Harbett, senior, deceased, and all money reckonings between Richard Harbett, William Harbett, Moses Eagles and wife, Susannah and Ann Stanbridge as administratix of Thomas alias William Stanbridge, her late husband, deceased, and any disputes between them. Arbitration award to be made in writing and be delivered before 21 December 1814. Otherwise said obligations to remain in force. Further extension to 18 January. Agreed that witnesses should produce all documents relating to the matters in difference between them. Award to be made a Rule of King’s Bench. Said arbitrators did not make their award by the time concerned.

Now said John Drake delivers his Award concerning same premises:
(i) Ann Stanbridge shall within one month pay to Richard Harbett, William Harbett, Moses Eagles and wife, Susannah £350 in discharge of all monies owed. Ann Stanbridge is also to give a proper receipt for a legacy of £100 bequeathed to her by the will of Richard Harbett
(ii) Richard Harbett, William Harbett, Moses Eagles and wife, Susannah shall pay Ann Stanbridge £175 in discharge of any monies owing to her. Said John Drake hereby orders that all disputes between the parties shall cease.
Both parties shall within five weeks deliver to each mutual general releases.
