- Scope and ContentFranklin Harbett and family are dissatisfied with him for allowing them to execute the conveyance to Mr. Campion. Mr Franklin is again pressed for payment of debts and legacies under will of brother Mr. William of Silsoe and if he had anything to expect from his nephew’s estate, could the amount required be advanced – say £50. ‘he called on me yesterday and again today with your Indenture of 27th relating to Mr. Cooper’s purchase as a matter of courtesy that ought to have been sent to me’. Will not advise him either way ‘with such parties I must be cautious’. Franklin Harbett has informed him that Mr. Hunt has ‘sent to you for him’ another bill on which he has charged ‘the poor fellow’ 13s.6d.
