- Scope and Content(i) is to continue to be vicar of Luton, is to reside at the vicarage, and discharge his duty conscientiously or provide an able curate - not without the consent of (i). (ii) is to discharge the present curate, N. Holder, as a person considered unfit by (i). (i) agrees that it is customary for the vicar to receive the garden penny in lieu of tithes from gardens, and smoke penny, and 4d a score for wool of sheep bought after Lady Day, for every month they are in the parish between Lady Day and shearing. No tithe of herbage is customery for ground on which dry and unprofitable cattle have been fed. (ii) is not to raise or alter the composition. (i) will pay in lieu of tithes for Summeris Farm, Hide Farm, Rinsford Farm, Stapleford Farm and Brach Farm as much as is now paid to (ii), and also for any new farm bought. Tithe of wood is to be paid by the inhabitants of the parish. (ii) not to allow burial of any person in the chancel without consent of (i). Satisfaction to be made for digging up the vicarage pightles, stocking up timber trees growing in the churchyard and loppingsame, and for delapidations.
