    Piece of land in the Parish of Saint Cuthbert, Bedford on the east side of a new road now in course of formation called or intended to be called Bower Street. To the North – land sold by 1) to Charles Jordan Crawley. To the South – land sold by 1) to Daniel William Lightfoot Senior. To the East – land owned by the Corporation of Bedford. To the West – Bower Street. Property measures 22ft in width, 89ft in depth. Occupiers and owners have free right to pass with or without horse carts and carriages at all times and to use the sewers through the connecting drains. 1) acknowledges the right of 2) to ask for the production of the documents of title. 2) will within two months from the completion of the purchase erect on the plot of ground one side wall or wooden fence more than six feet in height above the level of the footpath in the adjoining road to enclose the same from the adjoining property. He will keep in repair the half width of the road opposite the plot from the completion of the purchase until the road is taken over by the Bedford Corporation. Only one house will be erected on the piece of land of a value of no less £100. The main wall of the buildings which may be erected on the plot shall be at least five feet from the street. The business of an innkeeper, victualler or retailer of wines spirits or beer will not be permitted on this plot, only beer and other malt liquor wines and spirits in bottles may be sold thereon. Schedule Indenture dated 16th February 1882 between Charles Robert Wade Gery of the first part, William Hugh Wade Gery of the second, and George Bower of the third; Indenture of the same date between Charles Robert Wade Gery of the first part, Peter Locke King of the second, and George Bower of the third.
