    i) William Exton, Leighton Buzzard, merchant (devisee in will of George Exton, draper, deceased). ii) Mercy Exton, Ampthill, widow. iii) John Marshall, Ampthill, cordwainer, iv) Richard Brown, Luton, malster v) Charles Austin, Ampthill, school master. Reciting death of George Exton shortly after making will (X291/324) and that i) has attained 21. Now in consid of £57 paid to i) by iii). i) enfeoffs to iii) – 2 cottages as same are now so divided from certain premises purchased by ii) from i) in Sluts End, Ampthill. –Yards and gardens belonging late in occupation William Fields and widow Bushby. Also ii) releases any claim to dower and thirds she may have in said premises. Reciting also assignment of 2 October 1764. a) William Pittmann and wife Sarah b) John Raymond and wife Sarah c) William Brown d) Richard Brown, Luton, malster. A term of 1000 years created by a mortgage of 10 April 1731 became legally vested in d) for residue of said term in trust for c). c) and d) are both dead. iv) Is well satisfied that i) is lawfully seized of the premises. Now iv) transfers to V) – Property etc. For remainder of said term of 1000 years in trust for iii). Signatures all. Endorsed receipt. Livery of seisin.
