Richard Ash Hannaford from Titchmarsh, Northants, clerk. -Farmhouse, dovehouse close etc. at Titchmarsh. - 21 1/2 acres ground in Titchmarsh lately purchased of William Houghton. - 3 acres 1 rd in Titchmarsh adjoining to said homestead, part of premises lately purchased of Thomas Freeman to hold for life and then to her children or husband. To nephew William Southwell, son of brother Daniel Southwell, and to niece Elizabeth, his wife - All other lands in Titchmarsh. To nephew William Southwell, son of late brother Robert Southwell. -All other lands in England, except fee farm rent at Brington, Hunts. To 2 brothers, John and Daniel. -£100 each To Mary, wife of Joseph Compton of Thrapston Mill. - £200 To her daughter, Keziah Compton (she being named after my late wife). -£100 at 21 or marriage. To Thomas Eden, Ringstead, Northants. -£100 To Samuel Southwell, Warmington, Northants, labourer. -£200 To Joseph Southwell, Benwick in the Isle and County of Cambridge. -£100 To servant girl and servant boy living with me at my decease. -£10 each. To Elizabeth Craddock, my late servant. -£10 To necessitous poor of parish of Glassthorn, Northants. -£15 to be distributed as exor thinks fit. To necessitous poor of parish of Clapton. -£15 to be distributed as exor thinks fit. To necessitous poor of parish of Warmington. -£15 to be distributed as exor thinks fit. To my housekeeper, Mrs Mary Blackall. -Fee farm rent at Brington, Hunts. -£100 secured on the Methodist Chapel and other estates at Ringstead, Northamptonshire. - All wearing apparel. - All beds, bedding and wearing apparel and all property in my sleeping room at the time of my death and in her sleeping room at the time of my death. To nephew William Southwell, son of Robert. - Residue of personal estate, goods etc. Said William Southwell appointed executor. Will dated 26 December 1817. With codicil. Bequests to poor are revoked. Sums of money concerned to be added to residue of personal estate. Codicil dated 30 September 1818. With second codicil. William Southwall now being of Thrapston, Northamptonshire, gentleman. Devise to Mrs Mary Hannaford is revoked. Premises (including Wash Pit close omitted from previous will) to go to Richard and Mary Hannaford jointly and then to their children. In devise to Mary Blackall of all property in his and her sleeping rooms, money securities, title deeds and jewellery to be excepted. As regards personal estate bequeathed to William Southwell, the plate is excepted and is to be divided equally between William Southwell, son of Robert, William Southwell, son of Daniel and niece Mary Hannaford. Codicil dated 11 May 1820
