Option to purchase land 1. Leighton Buzzard Industrial Co-operative Society, 3, Hockliffe Street, Leighton Buzzard (the Society) 2. Leighton Buzzard Motors Ltd, High Street, Leighton Buzzard (the Company) In consideration of 5s paid by 2. to 1., 1.grants to 2. the option to purchase from 1. piece of land formerly forming part of the grounds of Leighton House situate at the rear of the Company’s showroom and yard, High Street (coloured green on the plan), together with the right to purchase also the whole or such part as the Company shall desire of the land shaded blue on the plan, provided always that the portion purchased shall adjoin the land coloured green. the purchase price shall be £2 12s 6d per square yard 2. shall erect and maintain a fence at least seven feet in height along the eastern and southern sides of the land, so as to not divide such land from the adjoining land retained by the Society, but also to prevent the passage of persons or any interference between the said two properties. the Company shall not erect the fence until after the Society has completed the erection of their building on the adjacent land.
