Note commenting on the Griffin lease, ref: X778/37/4. The lease was guaranteed by Alfred John Hines who paid the rent to his solicitor at Westbury, Wilts. after [Brian] Clark ceased to occupy the premises. He cannot remember how Brooks came into possession and thinks that there was a similar agreement with him as with the lock-up shop (Oliver Pike to Eileen Pike). The lease was not renewed, but as Brooks continued in occupation the conditions still apply (list follows).
