    Printed on the card: John Bunyan's Home in Bedford. This house which was pulled down about a century ago, was situated in St. Cuthbert's Street, where no. 17 now stands. It was drawn from memory in 1848, by Miss L. Green, her sketch is now the property of the Bedford Literary and Scientific Institute and General Library, and the Council of this body has given special permission for this picture to be based upon Miss Green's sketch. Old St. Cuthbert;s Church is shown in this picture. It was demolished about the middle of the XIXth Century, and the existing Church was opened in 1847 on the same site.
