    (i) Edward Osborn of the Inner Temple, esquire, and Northill. (ii) Thomas Parratt of Potton gentleman and John Weeden of London, citizen and grocer. (iii) John Hunter of London citizen and grocer, and Edward Wilmer citizen and salter of London. -- site etc. of college and manor of Northill, or the late dissolved college or chantry of Northill and all appurtenances, including 2 dovehouses in the Great Orchard or Dovehouse close, all yards, and a close lying within the walls of the site or homestall, called a pightle and lying next the orchards, and behind a barn called the Pease barn; cottage and hempland in Ickwell called Johnson’s cottage, formerly Nathaniel Johnson, now Jasper Tingey; Cottage and hempland called Cook’s cottage or Wilkinson’s cottage, in the occupation of Henry Wilkinson, glover, in Northill, adjoining Cook’s close or croft; Cook’s close or croft (5 acres), adjoining the capital messuage called the College of Northill, separated only by the highway from Bedford to Biggleswade, and next Cooks cottage; Wright’s croft (4 acres), at Northill Townend next Bedford way and Blackcroft close; Pynchen close or Pinchell close or Pinch close (1½ acres), next to Wright’s croft and the Bedford highway; Brick close alias Clamp close alias Peartree close (2 acres) between Wright’s croft and Horse close; Horse close with a little pightle called Stacey’s pightle (6 acres), next Drewell’s and Stacey’s wood; Cow close (8 acres), Stacey’s wood lying between Cow and Horse closes; Stacey’s wood (10 acres); Hall orchard (6 acres), adjoining Cow close and the 2 woods; Barr close (6 acres), next Hall orchard; Drewell’s alias Driver’s alias Drews wood (14 acres) abutting south Stacey’s wood and east Budnoe field, north and west Hall orchard and Barr close; Budnoe pightles close (4 acres), between Budnoe field and Beeston leizure, with a small grove adjoining; Morrice close (5 acres) adjoining the last; Edward’s pightle (1 acre) in fields of Budnoe adjoining the last 2 separated from them by a lane to Beeston Leasure; Bean close “the furthest and most remote” in distance from the site of the capital messuage, in Budnoe, Ladywood field east, and Beeston leasure east, wood of Thomas Wyan of Mogerhanger south, close of Robert Carter of Hatch north, with Bean close pightle adjoining formerly a small grove lately felled (13 acres together); 60 acres arable on Thorncote and Beeston side in the common fields of Beeston, Thorncote, Hatch, Ladywood, Brook end or Budnoe; 10 acres river meadow, bordering “the rivers of Girtford, Sandy and Beeston” in the meadow called Langlake, Wydefane and the Millholme meadow; which 10 acres and 60 acres are occupied by Robert Tompson of Thorncote; 30 acres arable on Northill, Ickwell and Caldecot side, in the occupation of William Sutton; 18 acres arable on Thorncote and Beeston side in fields of Beeston, Brook end, Thorncote, Hatch, Ladywood and Budnoe; 1½ acres and 11 feet of river meadow in Wydefane meadow; Blackcroft close in the west end of the town of Northill in the way to Bedford abutting west Budnoe field (3 acres); Brook End pightle or the College of Northill’s pightle in Brook end (½ acre); common of pasture and sheepwalk in Beeston leasure.
