    -- manor of Northill “sometimes the manor of the dissolved College of Northill”; capital messuage or manor house called the College of Northill and the site of the college; close of pasture and meadow called Cookes close, Cookes orchard, Wright’s croft, Pinchell alias Pinch, Brick close alias Peritree close ( being the pightle between Wright’s croft and Horse close), Horse close (of which the pightle extending to Cow close is parcel), Cow close, Hall orchard, Barre close, Edward pightle, Budno pightles, Mores close, St. Anne’s grove, Bean close (43 acres); woods called Drew’s alias Drewells, and the wood between Horse close east and Cow close west, south Drews wood, both 27 acres; 92 acres arable, 10 acres river meadow; 2 tenements in the occupation of Anthony Huggatt clerk; 18 acres arable, 1½ acres meadow, close of pasture (3½ acres), adjoining south Blackcroft furlong and close (1 acre) with the chapel called St. Anne’s chapel and the churchyard of Northill, occupied by Anthony Huggat clerk; 2 cottages, 1 in Ickwell in the occupation of Nathaniel Johnson, 1 in Northill in the occupation of John Wilkinson, adjoining west Cooke’s orchard; all tithes; the rectory, parsonage and church etc., and advowson except all lands “meant to pass from Richard Brown to Thomas and John Tompson by indenture dated - November, 8 James I, or to Sigismond Barnardiston, 10 February, 7 James I, or to Nicholas Harrowden, 6 October, 43 Elizabeth, or to Thomas Beamond by indenture of 9 September, 43 Elizabeth, and 1 rood pasture conveyed to Robert Barnardiston”.
