A moiety of all and every the rivers, streams, waters, watercourses, currents, passages, cuts, dams, sluices, locks, cranes, bridges, turnpikes, floodgates, floodhatches, emoluments, and appurtenances whatsoever, all his interest of and in the ground whereupon the said sluices do stand, which were granted by letters patent 11 December 1638 by Charles I to Arnold Spencer [see FN 1292]. Witnesses: Nathaniel Jemmatt, William Richins, Thomas Pengelly. Endorsed 2 July 1729: Receipt for £541 14s 7d, Richard and Arthur Walter, executors of Richard Walter, to Mrs Sarah Foster, for principal and interest.
