(ii) James Gregory of Bendish, St. Paul's Warden, Herts., gentleman, brother of William. -- 8 selions (4 ac.) on Rye furlong in Forge field abutting S. on the highway, and lately enclosed with 2 half acres of land late of John Symon deceased, E. and W.; 1/2 ac. in the same furlong E. land of George Gregory, W. Town land, N. Fordmead dam, S. highway; 11/2 ac. in Stonhill field, SE. land of Richard Gregory, N.W. Glebe; 1/2 ac. in Lechmore field, land of William Deacon on both sides, abutting N. his dam or sward ground; 3 half acres of freehold arable in Echlow field also Mill field on Echlow Hill also Mill hill, where the mill lately stood; abutting S. land of James Gregory, N. leasehold land of William Gregory assigned to Thomas and Richard Gregory; headland on E. of Echlow Hill furlong (1/2 ac.) abutting N.E. land of Mr. Gregory of Whitsend. William Gregory appoints Timothy Deacon as his attorney at law to execute livery of seisin to the said James. Witnesses: Ralph Bigg, Thomas Carter. Endorsed that Timothy Deacon in virtue of the above letter of attorney entered upon the said lands and executed livery of seisin to James Gregory. Witnesses: Johnson Reddall, W. Whitebread.
