    Agreement: William Foster, D.C.L., with Richard Symmons of Great Barford, gentleman, and wife Barbara [who was the widow of William Foster junior]. Richard Symmons will convey to Dr Foster: a mansion house in Bedford called the Hassetts wherein Dr Foster now dwells; a garden in occupation of Widow Smith and her son; a cottage late in occupation of Henry Cran, and now of Alice Johnson. Dr Foster will pay £180, out of which the lease of Great Barford parsonage is to be renewed (the money to be deposited with Mr F. Brace); and will also deliver the red curtains, 'vallence' and counterpane lined with green belonging to the bed in the parlour chamber in the said house; and will acquit Richard Symmons from the '£60 with the claims for keeping her children and for which he had brought his action at law against them.'
