Letter from Edmund Bateman to Richard Orlebar esquire in the Inner Temple (“to be left at Mr.Padmoore’s shop, a stationer”); Informing him that “the purchaser...... is not willing to give above £280 for the estate, and urges that it will not answer any more..... but I suppose will be prevailed with to give £300, which is the outside of what it is worth”.
