A very long letter. Refers to items being sold, including books. Has been unwell since last wrote. Does not doubt Eliza's generous intentions, but feels the unkindness of her father in leaving her so little. '..if he had thought at all like a father he would have wished to have left me in a situation nearly corresponding with the expectations he always gave me.' Does not know what do do about living with her mother. hHas been looking at lodgings and houses. Wishes she was settled somewhere. Relates what she has been doing recently.
