    Reciting death of Thomas Hankin who held - site where Rose and Crown Inn lately stood, late in occupation William Mean and Catherine Edwards, and which was lately destroyed by fire. Before his death he surrendered the premises to the use of his will on 21 September 1768. By his will he assigned above property to Matthew Rugeley, Potton, Esq, and John Pedley in trust for sale, the money arising to be disposed of as in codicil [not recited] dated 27 September 1783. Will proved PCC. now Matthew Rugeley and John Pedley are admitted to said property (except for 3 acres meadow ground lately occpied with said property)
