- Scope and ContentDear Mr Janes, I enclose herewith two further letters addressed to Mrs Janes and one addressed to Mrs Janes and yourself. I also enclose letter received from the Town Clerk with regard to the Preparation of the County Development Plan. I thought you would like to see this. A Statement of Outlays Account has come from Dumfries showing a balance in hand at the 31st December of £2.3.0. They suggest that a further sum of £5 is remitted to cover any ordinary outlays incurred to the end of March. I hope it will be alright for me to send this further £5. One or two notices have come with regard to your Income Tax and I have sent these on to Lewis, Hillier & Co. I understand that Mr Odell is not too well at the moment and is away from the office, and Mr Pilbeam has decided that it is too much for him to come back to the office again. I thought you would be interested to know about these two members of the staff. A preliminary notice has come about the Free Church Federal Council Annual Congress to be held March 25th -27th at Cardiff. They want to know whether you will be attending. As you should have returned home by this date I am wondering whether you are likely to attend or not. Perhaps you would let me know. I hope that you are still enjoying the lovely weather and benefiting from your holiday. With best wishes to Mrs Janes and yourself. Yours sincerely, Joan Smith.
