    Reciting surrender on 10 may 1786 by William Knight, of - toft (CD643), with cottage lately erected on it, between house of Joseph Weston, grocer and chandler, and a cottage or toft where the Dog in a Doublet lately stood, now belonging to Chancellor Hide. To the use of Thomas Barns of Baldock, Herts, gentleman, provided that said William Knight pay to said Thomas Barns the sum of £80 and interest at 5% p.a. on 10 November next. Receipt of William Knight for said £80, 10 May 1786 Endorsed with authority from Thomas Barns to enter satisfaction on manor court rolls as all principal and interest money has been recieved. 12 Feb 1794 NOTE: Mr Barns executed another Warrent to the Steward which was left in his hands to enter on the Court Rolls
