  • Scope and Content
Dear Pat, It is a long time since I wrote to you but I wish you the compliments of the season. I remember when your wife came to see us she gave us the news about yourself and we were very glad indeed to renew our acquaintanceship in that way. When I was last in New York I was not able to call and see you but I shall be passing through the States in March next and have a passage home booked on the Queen Mary which sails on March 14th. I do not expect to have more than 2 or 3 days in New York, indeed, I do not expect to arrive before March 10th or 11th. At the moment I do not know where I shall stay. The fact is that my wife and I are spending a holiday in the West Indies and will be travelling from Jamaica to Miami and then travelling up to return home via New York. We expect to land at Miami somewhere about the 6th or 7th March. If I could see something of you while we are in New York, I should be very glad indeed. We are leaving England on December 7th. With best wishes and kind regards. Yours sincerely, H C Janes.
