    John Pedley of Potton, gentleman. Recites marriage settlement 1774; recites surrender 1774 of a copyhold messuage called Chequer & orchard in Potton, between land formerly Jasper Emery, then John Fedley, South, & Chapel Green North, abutting East on Chappel brook; then occupancy William Tear; also copyhold cottage in Mill lane, then occupancy Daniel Thorne. Recites two other surrenders by which John Pedley surrendered other hereditaments. Marriage took place, but Elizabeth died 11 Sept. 1795, leaving sons John, Henry, William, daughters Elizabeth & Susan; Henry also died. All above to use of son John. Witnesses: W. Wilshere, George Pedley.
