Letter from H C Janes to Reverend J P Hickerton MA, 39 Richmond Street, Port of Spain, Trinidad. Informing change of route for West Indies tour.

Dear Mr Hickerton, We are looking forward to our visit to the West Indies. There are two other Baptist friends coming with us, Mr and Mrs Nutt of Worthing. Three weeks ago the French Line calmly informed me that they could not give us a return passage. We have decided, therefore, to go home via the United States and New York but this means a reversal of our itinerary and instead of going direct to Jamaica and returning to Trinidad, we are proposing now to get off the "Colombie" at Trinidad and travel on to Jamaica later. The boat arrives at Port of Spain on January 10th. I am writing to fix up with one of the hotels in Port of Spain and looking forward to seeing you and our Baptist friends there.
