- Scope and ContentDear Sir, "Colombie" 28 December 1951 Southampton/Trinidad. We thank you for your letter of the 15th and beg to inform you that the delay in being able to give you some favourable information regarding your homeward voyage from Jamaica but regret that there still appears to be little chance of accomodation becoming available. We have noted that you now wish to disembark at Trinidad and we will, of course, adjust the fare to the Trindad rate of £123.0.0d each plus 9/- each Port Taxes. Unfortunately we will not be able to assist you by providing passage from Trinidad to Jamaica three weeks after your arrival as the "Gascogne" has been withdrawn from service. We could offer the required passage on the following voyage of the "Colombie" six weeks after your arrival a shown on the attached list and shall be glad if you will advise us as soon as possible should such accomodation be required. Yours faithfully, for the Compagnie Generale Transatlantique, Passenger Traffic Manager.
