Scope and Content
Created by members of Chalgrave WI as part of the 'Focus' project. Twelve members 'speak for themselves...to tell [an] imaginary historian of the future the story of our days.' Each contributor has a potted biography followed by their description of a day in their life recorded in Summer 1983. Contributors: Barbara Yirrell nee Emerton, Gwen Harris, Marion Boutwood, Cynthia Byrom, Vera Osborn, Gladys Brinklow, Susan Hall, Susan Dokk-Olsen, Carol Aisthorpe, Katie Anderson, Lyn Green, Elizabeth Ann Wing. Appendix A gives details of Chalgrave services, Appendix B of costs of living in 1983.
