That little poem of Leopardi’s was translated in the new edition of Rossetti’s Poems, not his Ballads and Sonnets.
I am deep in the life of Carlyle (2) by Froude (3) , just out.
I should like to know what you think of Miss Welsh. William tells me that he is going to Ryde before long – Adieu – may it not be long before we meet and be sure you collect for me all you have about Carlyle’s wife.
