- Scope and ContentDeclaration by Thomas Hindes of Westoning, baker: •That he was son of John Hindes, late of Westoning, who was second son of Richard Hindes, late of Westoning, shopkeeper and Elizabeth, his wife; •That he was 44 and had lived in Westoning most of his life - he had been informed that Richard and Elizabeth Hindes removed to Westoning soon after their marriage and all their children were born at Westoning, the declarer's uncle William being the oldest child; •That Richard and Elizabeth Hindes were Baptists and none of the children were baptised and that WL1000/1/WEST1/20 was copied from an old book in his possession; •That the entries were in the handwriting of his uncle Joseph Hindes "who has been dead some years" and gives the names of the children of Richard and Elizabeth Hindes; •That his grandmother Elizabeth Hindes died intestate •Made at Ampthill before John Green, Commissioner to administer Paths in Chancery
