Exemplification of depositions of 3 witnesses: William Fitzhugh of Wilden, esquire, aged 68; William Denne of Bletsoe, yeoman, and Walter Walton of Bletsoe, yeoman, household servants to Sir John St John, knight, as to contents of a lost lease, 1539, purporting to be as follows: 'Lease for 50 years, rent per annum £6 13s 4d: William Golstow, Warden of Higham Ferrers College to Robert Smith of Bletsoe, yeoman. A capital messuage called Grene end farm in Great Barford, with lands thereto belonging; profits of courts there to be holden from year to year only excepted and reserved to the Warden and Fellows. 4 May 1439'
