- Scope and ContentDear Sam, I have not yet booked passenges on our trip; indeed I have not yet fully decided that we are going, but I think we shall. I have discussed the thing with an Agent in London and he has made what I think is quite a new suggestion and one that may perhaps commend itself to you. Perhaps you would let me know what you think of it. It is possible to change the boat at Colombo and instead of going the long journey to Freemantle, make the journey to Singapore, Java and round the north coast of Austrailia, calling at Brisbane & Sydney. This will cut out Freemantle and Adelaide, but when we arrive at Sydney we should have time to go to Melbourne, and catch the same boat. The section from Colombo would be done in a Dutch boat, which I am told, are very good. It would take a few days longer and would cost a little more, but there will be extraordinary interesting places to see and there would be a number of ports to put it in at. Perhaps you would consider what you think about this. With best wishes, Yours truly
