Dear Mr James, In answer to your letter of yesterday's date, I must first tell you that Mr Wilson is at present away from the Mission House, havding been ordered several weeks rest by the doctors. I am quite sure that if you have time to spare in Colombo it will be well worth your making the personal acquaintance of our friends there. The Rev. S F Pearce is the Secretary of the Ceylon Mission and his address is Baptist Mission House, Maradana, Colombo. You will, I think, be very pleased with your first impressions of the Island. I am venturing to enclose a letter of introduction to Mr Pearce, which I hope may of service to you. I hope that you will have a very enjoyable and prosperous time during your travels.
