    -- £350 of Rolts’ money in the hands of John Orlebar. Recites :- 9, 10 May 1746. (i) Thomas and Elizabeth Rolt (ii) John Orlebar and Thomas Clendon. -- The manor of Bassetts in Milton Ernest, a capital messuage or manorhouse in the occupation of Thomas Rolt; lands of Thomas Rolt in Milton Ernest, Oakley, Clapham, Thurleigh and Pavenham (except such as have been sold to the Duke of Bedford) to sell the lands and discharge debt of £3,400 due to Thomas Day; residue to be invested in public funds. Estate was sold, and proceeds used as above, except £1000 lent to John Orlebar. Of this £465 has been paid out by him on behalf of the Rolts, and he has contracted to pay £183 more. 5 April 1763.
