    -- a moiety of a cottage wherein John Covington dwells, and of a pightle, 1 rood, lying by the back street called Tagg Lane next the ground of Sir Richard Chetewoode in the occupation of John Loe east; next the ground of Thomas Islapp, late Riseleis, west; abutting south on the river of Ouse, and north on Tagg Lane; recently bought by John Covington and Thomas Walker of Yardley Hastings deceased for £30 of Thomas Deanes of Great Raveley, Huntingdonshire, husbandman, 26 June 1620; the one half of said cottage to be to John Covington; the other half to Robert Paulle and Thomas Neale to use of Robert Walker, apprentice to said John Covington, son of Thomas Walker and left by Thomas Walker senior to his heirs, but excepting to John Covington 6 timber trees growing in the pightle. John Covington will have use of Robert Walker’s half at a yearly rent during his apprenticeship, Witnesses. Clement Couentan (?), William Smith, John Crutchley.
