Greensand Cluster
Scope and Content
The Greensand Cluster was a group of ten villages along the Greensand Ridge, namely Haynes, Maulden, Clophill, Silsoe, Upper Gravenhurst, Flitton, Pulloxhill, Westoning, Higham Gobion and Shillington. The grouping of these villages under this name seems to have been a project which was abandoned soon after inception, but five transparencies have survived, including bar charts analysing the number and type of facilities in each village. Each item is a transparency laid over and attached to an A4-sized Ordnance Survey 1”=1 mile base map.
