    -- to poor of Shillington £5 -- to eldest son James, capital messuage and farm called the Moate, and all lands and testator belonging (except certain cottages and lands devised in this will). Also 8 ac. arable in Pirton Windmill field, Herts purchased of Thomas Arnold. And 3ac in Shillington Windmill field. -- to son William all household stuff remaining in the house in Shillington in which his uncle of testator - James late dwelt. -- to son Robert messuage or farm in Over-Gravenhurst occupied by Jeremy Cooch & Henry Cooch, also 3 cottages in Over-Gravenhurst occupied by Henry Hind, widow Earle & widow Hodge, and all other freeholds in same. -- to son John all freeholds in Ion in Over and Nether Gravenhurst on condition that he is to convey to son Robert all copyholds in Over Gravenhurst late purchased of John Rumball and held of the Manor of Apsleybury cum Ion. And of Manor of Rectory of Shillington., and also Copy Close, otherwise to go to Robert. -- to Robert cottage in Over Gravenhurst occupied by William Jones. -- having made surrender of copyholds held of Manor of Shillington to use of will, these to John, purchased of Jo. Barber, Esq., but if James Hanscombe conveys to John a messon or farm in Streatley, then this property to go to James. -- to John Water Close, Shillington (5ac,), cottage and pightle (3r) occupied by Nicholas Rowbottome, cottage occupied by Jonathon Crouch, 5ac 1r arable in Hanscombe End field, 3r in Norley Meadow, Shillington purchased of Jo. Barber and Thomas Parratt, but if James pays John £200 then this property to James. -- to Robert farm house and 30 ac arable purchased by testator of William Burrow, also 30 ac arable devised to testator by uncle James Hanscombe occupied by Jo. Thorneton, in Henlow, also close (4ac) Henlow, occupied by Thomas Browne (surrender of copyholds to use of will already made). -- to eldest daughter Grace 5s in discharge of all sums promised to her or her husband. -- to daughter Alice, £50 -- to daughter Mary, a tablecloth marked W.M.H. -- £600 to each of daughters Sarah & Elizabeth. -- to James Hanscombe (son) the 2 hovells belonging to the Moat Farm, Shillington, with the great Mashing vat, but if Streatly farm not conveyed to John these to go to son John. -- to wife Mary all the household stuff she was in possession of at the time of her marriage, also £20. -- whereas son James has mortgaged certain lands & tenements to secure £150, and whereas testator entered into a bond, of £2,000 or £3,000 with William Field, late Ion, deceased to secure the settling of certain lands and tents in Shillington on son James. - if James cancels these bonds then he is to have £200 to pay off the mortgage. -- to son James 10 silver spoons and silver cup, marked I.H., old double gilded saltcellar & biggest pottage pot. -- all remainder of personal estate to son Robert.
