    -- to eldest son Robert, capital messuage or farm wherein testator dwells in Holwell and all lands & tentaments. now occupied by Robert with the farm, in Holwell & Shillington. -- to second son William capital messuage or farm called Pirton Grange, Pirton, Herts. and all lands in Pirton thereunto belonging now occupation William Barbor and leased to him, part of the term unexpired, at £29 13s 4d p.a. Also a windmill, Pirton, and Burges Close, Shillington, and 10ac. late purchased of Thomas Copcott, in Pirton. -- to third son James messuage called Mawde Fullers, Shillington, and 7 closes of pasture called Sudgrave closes, Shillington, and 2ac. meadow in Norley Meade in Hanscombe End, and 12 ac. arable of which 11 are near the messuage and fenced round, and 1 ac is in Shillington field. occupier William Barbor. -- to youngest son Matthew a lease of certain grounds in Meppershall which testator late bought of Thomas Perry of London, when he is of age, rent to be applied to his maintenance in the meantime. Also £100 -- to eldest daughter Katherine £100, and likewise £100 to daughters. Martha, Agnes, Joan and Mary, and 5 pairs of sheets apiece -- if son James dies without issue, then the property bequeathed to him is to be divided equally between William & Matthew -- to wife Alice remainder of household goods -- to poor of Holwell 20s -- to Robert Hanscombe, son Robert's child, a brindled red cow, 2 yrs old. -- son Robert owes £80 and £40 which executors are to use towards the performance of the will. -- residue of personal estate to wife Alice and son Robert for performance of will. as executors.
