Letter (1 sheet) from Wilfred Hammond, marked: BEF France, November 25th/16. My Dear Mother, Just a short note to keep you up-to-date and to let you know that I am well. I have a fairly bad cold just now and get a handful of pills occasionally. I am in an old house just now and have a fine dug-out and sleep like a log. Received your newspaper to-day also enclosed letter. Si Mason was only known to me by name. Don’t get shoving my photo in, please. Thanks for the pad and pencil. The cakes etc. were good and were enjoyed by myself and pals. No more now, Your loving son,Wilf.
