    Whereas Richard Orlebar senior and junior recently agreed to levy a fine on a messuage and lands in “Arthlingworth”, Northamptonshire, where Richard Orlebar junior was seised of an estate in tail expectant on an estate for life of Henry Cooper his grandfather, and another in remainder for life of his wife Elizabeth, which fine was to be to the use of Cooper Orlebar, second son of Richard Orlebar, senior; Richard Orlebar senior was then to settle on Richard Orlebar junior lands in Hinwick lately purchased of John Alston of Hinwick esq and Sir Thomas Alston of Odell; and whereas Richard Childe late of Podington esquire, grandfather of Richard Orlebar senior, on the latter’s marriage with Elizabeth, by indenture of 19 July 1647 settled 150 acres with the manor, capital messuage and farm called the manor of Hinwick otherwise Brayes farm, with other lands in Hinwick in the occupation of John Laverock Clarke, And whereas Richard Orlebar senior for the making up and improving of 2 other farms of his in Hinwick has divided the said 150 acres by retaining some and letting some, so that it cannot now be known which they are: Richard Orlebar junior will levy a fine to Richard Orlebar senior on the lands in “Arthlingworth” to the use of Cooper Orlebar, and in order that the lands bought of John and Sir Thomas Alston may be settled on Richard Orlebar junior, with provisions made for Elizabeth for life; -- The manor, capital messuage and farm called the manor of Hinwick, otherwise Brayes farm in Hinwick, in the occupation of Richard Orlebar senior;closes called Well close (3 acres), Foreyards close (3 acres), Stone close (4 acres), Long close (7 acres) Little Toft (5 acres), Church close enclosed with Little close and called Perkins garden (12 acres), Calves close or Wood close (2 acres), Goosepiece close (12 acres) Goose leys close (3 acres), (the last two being purchased from the Alstons); Gooseyard close ( 1 acre); Bishops close (1 acre); Cockhill close (1 acre); also purchased from the Alstons; all amounting to 54 acres; 115 acres in the fields of Hinwick and Podington; rent 4 shillings from lands late of John Stratton in Hinwick; a farmhouse, Great Welsick close, Welsick corner close (purchased of the Alstons), Orchard close (6 acres); 106 acres in the fields of Hinwick and Podington, in the occupation of Richard Thurland; a farmhouse, Great and Little Gorewrong closes, Little Welsick close (7 acres),73 acres arable land and ley ground in Hinwick and Podington in the occupation of Richard Fisher; a cottage, Little close and 3 acres in the occupation of John Whitwick; a cottage, pightle, 3 acres, in the occupation of John Freeman; a cottage, 3 acres, in the occupation of Thomas Cotsgrave; a cottage in the occupation of Robert Abbott; 3 acres in the occupation of John Brayes; all in Hinwick and Podington; the tithes belonging to the rectory of Podington, arising from 2 closes in Hinwick called Over and Nether toft closes (28 acres), and from Spout close (4 acres), and from Upper Hall Field (60 acres); and Kitchingborough close (3 acres), all in Hinwick; and all other tithes belonging to the rectory of Podington in Hinwick; Witnesses.
