    -- 3 acres arable, 2 acres leys, in Podington:- in the field next Hinwick; on a furlong abutting towards the Butts; next to the wayside; on Hinwick field; on Sporte closse; in Middle Field abutting on Stoneylash; abutting on Wagstaffe’s close; in Nether Field abutting on Sandye slade; abutting on Snakehill; abutting near Astkillhole; a ley of pasture at the Sandpits, one on the homeward side of Blackebushes, one in the fifth ley from Blacke bushes, one at Suckling leys, one near Piked close gate; all of which were the subject of a marriage settlement 18 April 1618 (trustees Richard Childe gentleman and John Stratton).
