Francis Cleaver lent Richard Cokayne £1,500 on mortgage of Cokayne Hatley & Wrestlingworth; he did not repay; land became forfeit; Cleaver borrowed of Bartholomew Beale, gent., on security of forfeited lands; but repaid loan; trustees of lands, brother Richard, & Thomas Cole of Herts., gent. (for portions for younger children.);
will of Francis Cleaver; executrix wife Elizabeth (but if she marry, brother Richard); Sir Charles Cleaver has brought Chancery suit v. Bowles, Richard Cleaver, T. Cole;
witnesses Jonathan Waller, Ralph Baldwyn, Peirce Cleaver, Elizabeth Cleaver, William Bowls.
