- Scope and Contentreciting a lease of June 2nd, 1631 between John Foster late of Winchhill in the parish of King's Walden gent., and George Young deceased. Foster to Young for 500 years: (for good and valuable considerations) a close of arable (10 acres) called Cockshott, lying in Stopsley, Luton. a piece of arable lying in Chapell field, Luton (3 acres) another peice in the same field containing 3 aces. also 10 acres of arable lying in a field in Luton or King's Walden called Aldwicke, abutting north upon long croft. one close of pasture called Tankards lying in the parish of Offley, Herts., being lately wood ground and containing 3 acres. with appurtenances. now (i) leases these lands to (ii) for good and valuable considerations. and for the remainder of the term of 500 years. endorsed with a declaration that this indenture won't affect a lease for 1 yr. made to Walter Francis witnesses: Ro. Hampson, Walter Francis, Ruben Browne.
