- Scope and Contentreciting that (ii) has lately purchased a copyhold messuage or tenament at Lilley and has settled the same upon Sarah his wife, and for the natural love that he beareth unto his daughter, doth covenant unto (ii): messuage or inn called the Cross Keys in which Ric. Parchmore lately lived at Luton, at or near a place called Chipping Hill, fronting upon the said hill towards the east, the messuage of John Punter being also on the east part thereof and all appurtenances, excepting such as (i) has lately sold to Samuel Slow of Luton, yeoman. to the use of (ii) and heirs for ever without any encumbrance except one MORTGAGE made to Thomas Kentish gent., for the security of £80 and the interest for the same. witnesses: Roger Weedon, Robert Jenkin, jun.
