- Scope and Content(i) before Michaelmas next shall levy a fine sur cognizance de droit of: (a) messuage or farmhouse in Biscott in parish of Luton with all lands belonging to the messuage and the lands in the open fields of Luton, Limbrey, Biscott, Leagrave and Stopsley containing 226 1/2 acres now in occupation of John Gatesby. (b) all that messuage in the north end of Luton, the tenament of of the widow North being on the east part, and the tenament of widow Gilham being on the north and now in the occupation of Richard Chalkley, with all appurtenances. uses:(a) to (ii) for ever (b) to (iii) for 1000 years condition: if Richard Chalkley pay (iii) £90 on Dec. 10th the lease to be void and the property goes to Richard Chalkley. endorsed with receipt for £90 witnessed: John Rowley, John Gatesby.
