    Mary Ann Robinson aged 14 on 4th June 1879. Mother Mrs Robinson a widow living in Hawes Street, working at the Royal Oak Pub. Admitted 18 Oct 1879. Annie Bailey, Pepper Alley, St Johns Street. Told she could not be admitted until medical certificate showed she no longer had ringworm.Vacancy Kept for her Oct – Nov 1879. Lucy Walker. Parents dead, no relatives. Lodging in undesirable house. Admitted immediately to the home.11 Nov 1879. To go into service as housemaid with Mrs Poole from Sep 1880 – Feb 1881.To Hunstanton Convalescent Home May 1881, to be privately baptised first. Returned June. Fanny Giddings from Biggleswade Union to be admitted Jan 1880 – permission refused by Local Government Board. Edith Stanton admitted, as her mother and step father now moved to Cotton End from Bedford.20 Jan 1880. Left June 1880. Mary Cox withdrawn from the home by her mother on 9 March 1880 Elizabeth Humfries admitted April 1880 Mary Poole aged 10 years admitted. One of four children found deserted by their mother. Admitted as exceptional case Nov 1880. Florence Thomas, 12, from Peckham refused admission in Aug 1880 – referred to a home in Whitechapel. Sarah Shortland to go into service with Mrs Edmonds Oct 1880. Admitted to infirmary with pleurisy Jan 1881. Annie Dear aged 13 & child of Mrs Ransom to be admitted Nov 1880. Unable to be admitted as suffering from infectious complaint. Alice Dale and Lucy Walker to be sent into service from Nov 1880, Ellen Fuller, 11, of Cardington and Mary Robinson of Browns Court to be admitted in their place. Alice Dale to Hunstanton Convalescent Home May 1881, Returned June. Engaged as general servant to Mr Charles Wilson, Bengeo, Hertfordhire from 25 June 1881. Mary Robinson admitted 16 Nov 1880 with her fathers permission. Mary Hill admitted 17 Jan 1881.
