    'Commend my body and soul into the hands of Almighty God...expect my salvation.' To wife Margaret and to Thomas Lord Bruce (exectuors) all lands in London and Middlesex: care of children, payment of debts 'and for the lease of my Parke in the Countie of Bedford and Stewardship of the honour of Ampthill I likewise bequeath all the estates I have in, them to my said wife and to Thomas, Lord Bruce.' To William Mopley (servant) annuity to long as he remains in wife's service. To Thomas Crewe, annuity on same conditions. Gifts to other servants left to discretion of executors. Charity towards brother William to be continued. Nothing left directly to children. 'And as for all my children lett none condemne me for their years are tender and I am not in possibilitie to live to see the fruits of their good disposition and carriage according to wch and their severall dewe birthes they shall receive respects, And if in both they concurr not I entend them nothing of myne.'
