Scope and Content
These were found on 4 receipt spikes. Although nowhere near as complete as the Gibbard bills, (Ref GA5-94) they seem to represent the receipts a family preserved for over 20 years. They are however, brittle, torn and dirty, the paper being of very poor quality. It was thus not possible to save them all; but an attempt was made to save the best example of each Bedford tradesman represented
