- Scope and Content-- messuages or tenements in Hockliffe; -- closes or pasture grounds called respectively Chason Hills, Paules Meade or Little Meade, Lang alias Long Furlonge, North Meade and Coppice Moores (100acres) with appurtenances in Hockliffe, now in tenancy or occupation of (i) and one John Collyns or assignees; -- cottage or tenement in Chalgrave with appurtenances, now or late in tenancy of John Moseley and Mary Purryor or assignees, with closes thereto adjoining, late in tenancy of William Page or assignees; -- meadow plot (1 rood or pole) with appurtenances in Chalgrave now or late in tenancy of Gabriel Honor or assignees, adjoining mounds of said cottage and close, and all houses, ditches etc. etc. belonging thereto, with reversions and remainders thereof; TO USE OF (i) for life without impeachment of waste THEN OF (ii) for 10 years. if Thomas Impey the younger, son and heir apparent. of (i), should live so long, IN TRUST as hereafter; and after end or other determination of such term, THEN TO USE OF Thomas Impey the younger for life, THEN OF his first son and heirs of his body; FAILING SUCH ISSUE: TO USE OF his second son and heirs of his body; and so on, in order of birth; FAILING SUCH ISSUE: -- Lang alias Long Close so far as the mounds between it and Coppice Moores (15acres); TO USE OF Samuel Impey, second son of (i) and heirs for ever; -- The residue of the property: TO USE OF Godfrey Impey, third son of (i) and heirs for ever; PROVIDED THAT Thomas Impey the younger may appoint any part of the premises herein mentioned to any wife he may marry for her life as a jointure... AND THAT thereafter (ii), heirs or assignees shall stand seised thereof with reversions and remainders for uses as herein appointed; Trust for 10 yrs. referred to above: (ii) shall suffer Thomas Impey the younger to receive the profits thereof so long as (ii) or survivors and executors or administrators shall 'find him to live orderly and in their discretions think him worthie thereof'; otherewise they shall dispose thereof for the maintenance of his wife and children (if any) or amongst him and the other children of Thomas Impey of Hockliffe as to (ii) shall seem meet.
